For weeks I had a sore throat that felt dry. I mostly notice it at night. And once in a while some thick kinda hard mucus comes up.This can't be ibs related? Sometimes I've had liquid in my chest or watever and like an hour after eating i've burped up liquid I drank or taste of food...most of the time its just random when liquid comes into my mouth..it never burned or anything.
I know this is my ibs,but I was wondering what this feeling was. Sounds like water sloshing around and I know I have trapped gas when this occurs and stool too.I can also hear weird noises.

reflux? reflux can definitely cause throat and mouth symptoms, even without the typical burning sensations...

Sometimes in the winter I have a dry, sore throat and congestion because of the heat in my house. The heat is dry which causes me to feel stuffy and dry. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

I don't even know if I have acid reflux..can I just get reflux from time to time? I only notice mucus when I go to bed,and when I get up in the morning I usually spit a couple chunks out. Would cough drops help that?

Reflux can definitely cause problems you describe. Reflux will cause soreness in the mouth and throat , congestion and runny noses, pain in the ears, and headache. The acid can irritate the sinus membranes and cause symptoms that mimic a head cold. I usually wake up congested. I've had this problem for years now. When my nose starts running I know the headache is not far behind. I try to not use pills for my reflux. I was taking Nexium for a long time until my doctor suggested cutting back. He said that Nexium can cause intestinal distress in some people. My IBS got a little better but my reflux flairs up more. I take an over the counter acid reducer when I can't keep it under control. Smaller meals, don't eat 3 hours before you go to bed, raise the head of your bed a few inches, and don't drink or eat mint. Mint weakens the sphincter muscle, as does chocolate and coffee. The hard candy is a good idea to keep the fluids flowing, just not mint. Talk to your doctor. It is a simple test. They feed you a barium shake and watch it on a scope, takes about 5 min or less.
I agree with your signature statement. This has definitely changed my personality. I have never before been this angry with the world. I have never before been this reclusive or fearful of the future. All I can say is; listen to these people. They know what you're going through. Take what they know and modify it to your needs. Things can get better. And talk to your doctor. They do get things right from time to time.

Oh I bought life savers pep o mint becaue I read a diet tip about how if u eat a breath mint when u crave foods your not going to want to eat it with your mouth tasting like the mint and its also fewer calories.
I get a green phlem. Maybe my spincter mucles are weak because of all the bad foods I eat? Maybe my acid reflux will just go away? Is there anything natural and ibs safe I can eat or take everyday for it?
What's a barium shake for..whats the test for? Well I have no insurance and I'm in the negative dollars right now..so I'm not going to.
Thanks for noticing my statement..I feel pretty gross right now..Lots of poo problems, acne, extra body fat and so on.
