I'm wondering if you may be having a "die-off" effect; yeast/toxins are being squeezed out as the good bacteria is being replaced once more. I had more gas when I first started taking probiotics. Die-off effects can include D, tiredness, achiness, etc. If you start feeling better in the next few days, you will know it was probably that. Is there a pre-biotic in the probiotic that you take?...FOS, I think it is. I couldn't take that kind because it bothered me too much. You may need to change your supplement.

im taking the jarrows 5 billion formula that doesnt have to be refridgerated......i started it several days ago because for the first time since my ibs started 15 months ago, i was experiencing a mild pain in my gut all day long......plus tons of gas.....whats actually happening with our colons?????????this ibs is so mysterious and strange.....hate it! How long should you stay on an probiotic to see if it works?
