Is low fat mayonnaise generally ok for IBS people? Has anyone found a decent brand of lo fat mayo? The several that I have tried taste awful I thought. Thanks !

I use low-cal Hellmann's and have no problem with it.

I also use Hellman's low fat mayo, and it tastes the same as regular mayo to me!

I'm gonna just jump right in here and stick my neck out and announce that I prefer Miracle Whip over mayonnaise. I use Miracle Whip Light, and I think it's great. All you mayo lovers are gonna jump on me, I know, but I can take it. I'm a big girl.

Like fat-free mayo, fat-free Miracle Whip tastes like cardboard. But the LIGHT is really good. There's no dairy, 30 calories per serving and 2g. of fat (SatFat is 0), and contains less than 2% of egg yolks).

GOFERIT!

Bev

I agree with Bev-i like Miracle whip light and use it as part of my fats some days-I tend to eat too low fat some days! Maryh

Smart Beat nonfat mayo and fat free. it's made with egg whites and no dairy and the best part it's cholesterol free. Ingredients are all Ibs safe. It's made by smart beat foods. Also Hellman's is Best food Mayo and you can get that in light versions on the west coast.
Also one to try is safflower mayo.

Yippee, I thought mayo was totally out of bounds (except for this totally fat free stuff which I can't seem to find here in the UK). Low fat mayo seems to be ok? I'm not keen on mayo by itself, but do like to mix a little with my tuna sometimes, so this will be a great treat for me!!
Yummy

I grew up on Miracle Whip so there's no question what I like best. Real mayonnaise tastes weird to me!
