It's something about the IF in the whole wheat in bran. I'm in same boat with you, sis. I'm so sick! My stomach is torture to the rest of my body, i wish we could live without it!

I do take the fiber supplements, but they have no immediate relief to them. When I get an attack, it won't go away. I just have to drink a lot of hot herbal tea and hope that it'll go away with time. It usually goes away at night when I'm asleep. The peppermint tummy tamers also work well. I hate work when i have an attack!

Don't give up! I know it's hard, it's so hard around the holidays too! Keep trying. When I'm in doubt or having a bad day, I eat plain white rice with some tummy fiber, plain spaghetti noodles, banana, oatmeal, graham or animal crackers, rice/corn chex, just stick with some good ol starches for a couple of days. Don't over eat these starches, but proportionatly eat them throughout the day, and you will begin to feel better! Please don't give up!!!!

Try a heat pad on your tummy. It usually helps calm the cramping when you are flaring up.
Have you ladies gone to a herbal supplemant store to find something to help with c?
I use Slippery Elm for d but it is supposed to help with C if taken REGULARLY. That is the key. With C everything takes longer.
I have never had this problem but would having an enema done to clean you out help? Also try only eating a liquid diet for a bit, soups puree your veggies and add to broth, Any thing that is aready broken down will help your body from having to work so hard.
Logically speaking, when you have C your liquid intake should be much higher.

Thanks for your suggestions!!!! I have been meaning to get a heating pad or some of those IcyHot sticky heat pads. What is Slippery Elm? I have never heard about it, but I'll give anything a chance! Everything definitely takes longer with C and I am short on patience (need to work on this) I am going to try pureeing my veggies, I miss my green veggies! Thanks again!!!

Check out the herbal supplements section at your walmart or pharmacy. It comes in a jar that contains capsules take two at each meal I think. It stopped my d in two days and my inlaw taks it for c.
You can also buy it to make tea but that sounds unappealing to me. Good luck.
