Does anyone know the effect of taking Acai berry pills with IBS-D? I want to try them but I'm a little afraid.

Don't know about the pills, but the acai berry has been in the top 10 "hit parade" for the last couple of years. In our area, it has been in the form of "MonaVie" - a nutritional "drink" that has a patented form of the acai and 19 other juices blended together that's supposed to cure everything but hang-nails and super expensive - part of a MLM company. I was taking VEMMA which has all the vitamins, but it's claim to fame is the "mangosteen" which is supposed to have as high an ORAC value as the acai. But, I "think" whether it's mangosteen or acai - some of us (me) can't handle the fruits and the fructose.

I have a whole bottle of the ACAIPURE pills. I'm scared to take them too. Maybe take them on the weekend? Let me know when you try them, and I'll do the same if I break down and do it! I am C with occasional D, so maybe it will be promising.
