Hi there! I have suffered from ibs for years my most common symptom is constipation but I am currently going through an attack, painful spasms, stomache acids and still constipated. I have not had an attack in years and I have no perscription meds. Can you reccomend and store meds or home remedies. Thanks I almost forgot what this felt like

Tatty, if you are having an attack, you really need to follow a strict diet. I know it is hard to do, but you need to really watch what you eat. When I have a bad attack, I eat fresh baked french bread or sour dough bread, white or brown rice, bananas. I know it sounds very bland, but until your gut starts to relax you need to do this. You can gradually increase to different IBS safe foods. Good luck. I know how you feel. I am IBS-C, but sometimes I am IBS-A.

Oh! I feel your pain, I am currently in an attack also. For the last two days I have been in tremendous pain. I take the charcocaps from wal-mart or pharmacies. They tend to help some for the bloating and gas. I have a heating pad on my belly right now, but it's just not big enough to cover the whole area! Do you have any fennel tea or peppermint tea, they seem to help me as well, but of course I forgot to re-fill my stash at work! Hope you feel better soon!

Peppermint tea will help calm the spasms. It needs to be hot and strong. It works wonders!
