My IBS I believe is sporadic. Last X mas it was bad and I finally realized I might have IBS. Most of the time I eat good and healthy, but times I due indulge in bad foods. I have not had any serious issues since X mas. The last month I have felt symptoms come on.

My tummy has that bloated feeling, kinda like my lower abs or colon is swollen. The tummy is hard. I have been taking fiber and peppermint pills. Is there any advide on what type of foods I should eat until these symptoms go away?

Also I need some help on fiber. I have used Heathers Acacia, but I am out of it. I have ordered some, but for now what should I take. I have had benefiber in the past, I like it because it doesn't thicken. What are your recommendations for fiber supplements besides acacia? Thx

Check out the safe foods post that was listed recently. Some of my safest are apple sauce, oatmeal, rice, and green beans.

I use Benefiber powder or the CVS equivelent at home. Walgreen's also has a version of Benefiber but it doesn't dissolve as well. When I'm out and about I take generic Fibercon. Topcare is the brand I use.

I've never used the acacia, but I know a lot of people swear by it.
