First off I just got over a bout of D about three weeks ago and am working my way back through the C part of the cycle. Did the diet, followed the recommendations and was helped by Hyomax. It was almost back to normal but not quite...I may have just gotten careless as I'm a first timer with this treatment but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen.

Someone bought some of those Macaroon cookies for me and I have been eating them...as sort of a snack. I've heard they were great for some people's IBS. I wasn't scarfing on them...just snacking. They haven't bothered me one way or the other but today I had two and suddenly started to have cramps! I went to the bathroom (wasn't D thank goodness) but still had to take meds for the cramps!

Now I had Baked salmon for dinner last night. I know that is full of 'good' fat but could the fat have been a problem and the cookies just sent it over the edge?

I also had a plate of mixed veggies that included broccoli and cauliflower with a tiny bit of cheese the other day. I felt uncomfortable that evening but noticed no adverse reactions at the time.

Last night I felt fine...

What do you think? Too much new stuff too soon? I really don't want to repeat my mistakes!

I'm not sure what caused it this time, and you may never know 100%, maybe too much coconut even if you were stable. but I'd say in the future... introduce one new thing at a time and see how you do.

Feel better soon.....

I've a feeling that it could be the coconut in the maccaroons - there's quite high in fat.

I did the same sort of thing yesterday. I had some porridge followed by a brown rice cake on a empty stomach. They would have been ok on there own or with more SF for the rice cake but on it's own it caused problems.
