I was wondering if it makes a difference which kind of rice cakes we eat. There are so many "flavored" ones but I don't know if it's best to stick to the original or if we can experiment with flavors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Many of the Quaker ones have milk in them. I think many have HFCS, which can also be problematic for some. I use plain and jazz them up myself. I also buy a brand (Mother's, maybe?) in the HFS and they're caramel flavored, sweetened with molasses and honey, no other funny ingredients.

Thank you Fen. I had no idea Quaker had milk in them. I really need to read the ingredients much closer!! I know this sounds dumb, but what are HFCS? I'm new to all this and just trying to learn everything I can quickly.
