I find that vitamins make my stomach and IBS feel terrible. Sometimes even causes a bad flare up. I tried HSN vitamins because the promoter said they were gentle on the stomach. They are powder form (inside a capsule). But I still could not take them withour feeling bad. I'd really like to take a general multi vitamin. Any suggestions out there?

If you will search "vitamins" on this board you will find some suggestions. None of them have worked for me. I have an entire shelf full of vitamins I can't take in every form imaginable. My internist is really concerned because now my bones are starting to thin (I am 58) and I can't take calcium or Vitamin D. I have gone to a nutritionist and am trying to eat as balanced a diet as my IBS will allow!

If you want to go the all natural route with vitamins, I would suggest the Rainbow Light brand. There is a big selection on their website for women, men and children. I actually take a children's multivitamin because that was the only chewable one I could find at my local health food store. I also take their chewable calcium supplement as well. Hope you have some luck!

I have those on my shelf - even the children's -- they all cause D and cramps.
