For those with C who take Acacia:
How long did you take it before you noticed a difference? Or maybe a better way to phrase it would be how high of a dosage were you at before you starting seeing a positive effect on BM frequency, bloating, etc.?
I started taking it this week, and I've started pooping twice a day!!! They're pretty small and pretty poorly formed, but two sad little poops a day are better than 1 sad little poop a day!!
I'm currently taking 1/2 tsp in the morning and 1 tsp in the evening - I plan to gradually up this to a few tbsp a day.
Thanks for any feedback!

Fen - Does it cause any cramping? I've wanted to try it but have had such bad experiences with fiber supplements causing severe cramping.

Nope - not so far! I'd say I do actually feel more of an "urge," but it feels normal, not crampy.
I wouldn't say it's eliminated my bloating, but it's definitely better than it was on the FiberCon.

Through trial and error I have found I can be on a lower dose of fiber supplement if I drink a lot of water & tea. I was on a higher dose but it stopped working after a while. I then reread the guidlines and realized I was not drinking enough so I upped my water intake while lowering the dose of fiber supplement. I also use a teaspoon of Natural Calm every morning and take a probiotic every evening. Gas can be a problem sometimes but the fennel tea works great for that. I also believe that smaller more frequent meals help with gas.
