Hi All,
I just started a new job this past Monday and the woman who is training me and whom I am replacing, Stacy, brought treats to the office today since she was leaving today.
She brought taco salad full of cheese and other dairy and also a salsa loaded with fresh tomatoes and other no-nos for us poor IBSers.
Stacy asked me in the afternoon if I didn't like her food and I told her I had IBS and could not eat it. She said, "that's terrible". And that made me feel even worse.
Also Tuesday I was 3 hours late because of a bowel attack. I just can't win.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I hear ya there is always going to be food every where that you can't eat and you want so bad. I went to the movies a few weeks ago with my mom and duaghter and listen and smelled the people behind me eating nachos and choclate. Just make sure when the office has partys that you bring something thats good and safe that you know you can eat. hth.

I know you're just venting, but don't think of yourself as a "poor IBSer" all the time. It will only get you down and more down.
Always make sure there is food around you CAN eat. Don't be terrified of trying new, safe things, either.
