Is peeled fruit like peaches and nectarines safe after there peeled? I know that strawberries and blueberries and blackeberrys are "if" no matter what. Thanks

Oh gosh - I don't have to be right. I do try to answer the question that is asked. If the question is mis-worded or contains misleading information then it is possible that the response will be off target.

Good luck

Thank you for listening to what I actually wrote and offering your response! So, you don't think fruit with SF is worse for gas?

Jordy, I guess basically what I'm saying is I don't know. I'm not sure how I feel about the food combining theory myself, but I'm not saying that it won't help you. I used to put stock in first a dairy free diet, then a gluten and dairy free diet, then a high fiber diet, then the EFI diet and none of them worked for me, even though I'm sure they can work for other people. I guess my diet now is a little bit of this and a little bit of that and I'm slowly figuring out what works for my body. I would give food combining a fair shot. It may work, it may not. But ultimately you are the only one who can answer that.

I'm sorry I don't have a clear answer for you! I truly know how frustrating it is...

I've read these posts and i've read the book on food combining.I don't know whether eating fruit on an empty stomach is a good idea but you can always try.I'm a little scared myself.I know certain fruits send me running on an empty stomach but some don't.
Everone is different but if you don't want to live in pain forever.give it a try.If it works than let us know and tell us what you did.EXACTLY!so we can all get better!lol
I have a recipe book and thought I might try food combining sometime but it really takes alot of effort to plan your meals when we are so used to just throwing something on the grill or stove.
Let me know if you try this approach.I'd really like to know from someone who isn't trying to sell me something.

Ha ha - I think Jordy is a C'er. So being sent running to the bathroom might be a bit of a relief - at least I know it would for me!!

I don't eat fruit with anything else.

The wonderful thing for me is that for like 15 years, fruit gave me the worst pain and bloating....but for some reason, I don't know exactly what, I can eat it now!

Believe me I am THRILLED. I still use Heather's fiber, and I really changed my diet this past year. So I think I've finally got the right kind of intestinal flora. I am still playing it safe, but I have gone from not being able to tolerate 2 bites of a banana to eating 2 bananas a day. For dinner, I eat a big fruit salad with frozen/thawed mangos, some strawberries, blackberries, and banana, with some rice milk and turbinado sugar.

I feel like I've got part of my life back. It is such a gift to be able to enjoy fruit.

Calli

What types of fruit can you tolerate on an empty tummy, besides bananas? They don't increase your C?

Also, how much SF do you take? What's your new diet like? I'm so jealous,,,and happy for you!
