Has anyone got a young child with IBS? Am new to all this, but my daughter has been in pain with very few days off for 6weeks now. She is typical IBS-c, so would love to know if soluble fibre diet will work for a child this young. We are seeing gastrologist on Tue to discuss further after neg tests for ulcers. Any tips on managing IB-c welcome Have read all Heather's info online.

I think it would theres kid friendly recipes in the index. Buy the book as well. My daughter doesn't have it but she enjoys some of the things I cook and bake! She loves the chicken nuggets with the panko and the oven fries and anything with pumpkin! Bless her heart I hope she feels better soon. hth

My son has GI issues that I'm starting to believe might be IBS-C. He does very well on Heather's plan, although we do not eat any wheat/gluten and we both are doing better as a result! Before we did this plan, DS could never eat whole strawberries. Now when he eats them I just make sure he has some rice or corn chips at the same time as well as some mango or banana - no more owie poops! Good luck, HTH!
