I have to say this was not my best day in terms of nutritious, balanced eating - BUT I did eat (remebered Heather's warning about not eating bringing on a flare, which in my case it has) and I ate tons of SF! Probably too much, but normally I would have stress eaten = french fries and food w/melted cheese! (which then brings on a flare of course) So, I'm proud that I did that much!

Meal one
coffe w/silk creamer
rice bread toast w/earth balance and raw honey

Iced soy latte
Organic corn chips

peanut butter and banana quesadilla

3 rice cakes

one gluten free waffle

salmon roll sushi

The iced soy latte sounds really good. Does this contain coffee? Where do you get it? I am in cow fart land in WI. I doubt I can find this anywhere.

Thanks!

Hello Candy2! The iced soy latte is quite good which is part of why I can't give it up! I generally get mine from Starbucks or other coffee places. I live in Seattle, so we never lack for places to get coffee. When my budget is tight, I do it at home by making the coffee the night before (a little stronger than ususal because of the ice) and regrigerating it. THe next day, I just pour the coffee over ice and add soy milk, vanilla flavored is best or Silk creamer if you have it - you can play around using the mocha flavor or bottled flavored syrups. GOod luck, let me know if you have questions, it took me a while to get this right. I Googled "iced coffee" a million times before I liked the finished product!

Are IBSers supposed to even have coffee? It's good you can handle this!

Thanks for the info.

So are you eating gluten again? I see you listed a wheat roll.

I forget, do you take any supplements or Fiber supplements? How have you been feeling eating gluten? Are you still eating EFI?

NO! IBSers are not supposed to have anything w/caffiene in it, especially coffee. I have to be very careful and drink it very slowly - I usually get it around 9:00 in the morning and finish it around 4:00pm! Keep it in the frig when I'm not drinking it and in an insulated cup...as the mother of two small children, I need the extra energy right now! But as I said, I have to regulate it carefully or it will bring on a flare....
