With turkey burgers I like to eat either pretzels or baked lays potato chips (I like the later more since I eat pretzels way too often).

I am not so great with IF so I can't help you there- I don't seem to be able to tolerate fruits and veggies very well. I do eat a lot of cooked carrots though. I also put zucchini in the oven with cinnamon on it and it tastes fantastic after. Finally, I eat sweet potatoes at least 3 nights a week. I like them because they aren't as boring as regular potatoes with nothing on them Good luck!

First of all what is dora?
Next lets see...can you do mushrooms? Make a warm potato salad with just some spices and cooked celery. If you can add a bit of miracle whip for flavour.Just enough to lightly coat it,if not just add some spices like salt pepper, chives frome the garden, dill is really good on potatos.
I sautee mushrooms in water and add these to pasta or rice with just i bit of salt.I don't eat red sauce with my pasta but have you tried making white? If you can tolerate soy milk or whatever you use for milk, take a tbsp of flour and tbsp of margarine,or butter if you can, cook on stove until slightly lumpy, add milk and bring to a boil.Thicken and then add spice to flavour. Pour over pasta.
Thats if you can tolerate any of this.If not go back to stand by,cooked mushrooms and celery on rice.
I serve rice with fish.I cook the fish and rice and cut up carrots in foil with a bit of water or broth for the rice.Wrap in foil bake in oven.I did this when the hydro went out and we cooked in the wood stove. It was fantastic.
Instead of regular fries how about cutting them into small chunks boil to cook then spray with pam bake in oven until crispy.Boiling the potatos cooks them faster and they don't absorb as much fat from oil when fried but I lightly spray and bake.It takes a bit longer but they taste just as good.

Hope this helps...by the way can I get your blueberry coffee cake recipe, it sounds yummy!

Dora is ceral thats shaped like stars and its multi-grain. The blueberry coffe cake is in the recipe index. I like it but wish it was more cake like. Let me know if you don't find it.

I hear ya! I 've looked at the recipe exchange but man I do not want tofu! I can't do soy either. Ican however do some dairy cooked or in little amounts so when I bake I use half milk half water. The problem is....I don't bake! I hate to cook! It's not that we eat processed food, mostly its meat veg and potatos or rice but all the recipes seem mind boggling for someone who hates to cook!
Have you tried a chicken wrap?
Two ways, ground chicken with a little bit of lettuce, tomato, and if you can sour cream and sprinkle of cheese.I will eat this with a bunch of pretzels.or cut up a chicken breast, spice it with Montreal chicken spice and wrap it up with either cream cheese(just a smear)or miracle whip.
It's tasty and you can trick yourself into believing it's different!
What about peas? or corn?I want easy food! Iwant to eat a strawberry out of my garden with no side affects! Can you eat tomatos?
I've decided to try the hypno cd's.They say you can have a 90% success rate so since I'm usually ok with just the diet, when I'm not screwing up, I thought maybe I could get my life back.I don't mind the diet cause I know if I really want something I'll try it and pay but it's the anxiety and depression I need to get rid of.Even if I feel pretty good, I am still limited on where I feel I can go.Do you ever feel like that?
Sorry It's so long but, I had a sleepless night and hubby ain't back for 5 more days!
Take care!Happy eating!

I thought your menu looked pretty tasty too, but I know what you mean about getting sick of fries or plain rice.

I saw this on Rachael Ray, and w/ a couple of modifications, it can be safe - BBQ Potato Salad
http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/food/recipes/red-white-blue-grilled-bbq-potato-salad/

I also vary the spices on my oven fries when I make them to get more interesting.

I also have been trying the chicken and turkey burgers on the RAchael Ray site (or subbing chicken or turkey if she uses beef). I have found that I just have to make a few modifications (or substituion) and they are really yummy burgers (and my non-IBS husband it loving them as well!)

Ya I can eat tomatoes just fresh ones though can't do tomatoe sauce horrible attacks. I am to chicken to try can ones. I hear about wanting something were you don't have to bake or cook something all the time. Like bean salad and fresh melon. or tomatoe soup and grilled cheese. Ya know. Let me know how the tapes go. Hang in there hope you can get some sleep.

Hi All,

I am three weeks into the diet and also searching for different foods. Your diet looks great, perhaps more seafood would add variety? In the tuna isle at the grocery, I found cans and packets of crab meat and shrimp in water, these can be rolled in tortillas with rice or added to other recipes. Tuna(in water) sandwiches I often have for lunch, though I am sure a tuna casserole could be made with non-yolk noodles.

I recently found baked Ruffles potato chips that are delicious!

Good luck!

Karen
