First BM after colonoscopy

Hi All,

Just wondering. How long did it take you to have your first BM after a colonoscopy?

I had mine Wednesday and it's now Sunday and still no BM. I am IBS-C.

By the way, I ate a small steak patty for supper Friday night. No cramps, but instead, intermittent small pings of pain in my gut. Weird, huh?

For me it took 2 days till I had the first BM.

I think it took me a good 5 days or so....being a C and being cleaned out it can take awhile. Feel free to try some easy stool softeners, Not laxatives though!

Hi Aly,

I already bought the WalMart brand of stool softener. The caps are a little large but I think I can manage them.
