I was thinking of buying Tylonel for my IBS cramps, which are so maddening.
What do you think? Is anything better?

I just wanted to chime in and say that no medicine ever helps my IBS cramps but a heatin gpad works wonders! I never even used one before I had IBS and now I use it about once a week whenever I feel even the slightest bit iffy. It always helps me!

First try heating pad, pep caps, pep tea then levbid or Bentyl. I also use bentyl and find it works.

"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!

Hi
What are the side effects of Bentyl? How long have you used it? Are your cramps severe?
Thanks!

I second that! when I am in severe pain and still have to work I will wear one of those new menstrual heat patches on my tummy, 8 hours of relief and I just grab them from the drugstore a block from my job! otherwise I'd miss alot more work

heat is the best. Bentyl works for me slightly. I have to get it when I think I am going to have the cramping rather than once it is full blown or i have missed my window where it will work. I have also tried imodium, kaopectate, pepto bismal, NSAIDs, baclofen, flexeril, a muscle relaxer I get from canada for mentral problems (it helps some), elevil, and I found neurontin helps. I have very little success with the pain once it starts. it is so bad I can barely stand up. Luckily it isn't daily!
Besides bentyl what are other anti spasmodics you all have had success with?
