Long time suffer w/IBS (25 years.) I have two questions:
1. What is EFI? I have searched the board and can not find what it means. I assume "fiber" is in there somewhere...
2. During an IBS attack, I often have a tingling in my legs and arms. Like little goosebumps accompanied with a slight numbness. Does anyone else have this? ( I will also often have sweating, feeling like passing out, etc.) My IBS is pretty well maintained w/ Heather's diet guidelines ( I have a mini photocopied one in my wallet) and meds but we all know what trigger slip up can do.
Thanks. Robbie

EFI stands for Eating for IBS, it's a book written by Heather and the acronym that refers to her dietary approach on these boards. Sorry, can't answer #2.

I have noticed the tiny bumps too......... But I'm not sure it is associated with IBS. I've read that is more of an anxiety symptom, but I don't always feel anxious when I get them. IBS seems to affect more things than we realize, it seems. Like a "whole body" reaction as opposed to just one part of the body.
Thanks for mentioning this. It is extremely interesting!
