Has anyone found a fiber supplement in pill or tablet form that they really like? I use the Acacia powder several times a day, but it is really inconvenient when I am at work or on the go. Thanks everyone!!

I use generic FiberCon when I'm out and about. Usually, I get TopCare's. I use the generic because it's pretty much the same (safe for me) stuff and it's much more affordable.

I went online and checked out Fibercon and it seems to be more for IBS-C then IBS-D, which is what I am. Do you find this to be true?

No, it worked fine for me when I was IBS-D. (I am more of a stable "A" these days.) I've been using it for 3 years.

Fibercon is marketed as a laxative but it's just fiber:Quote:
So, please ignore the fact that soluble fiber supplements are often marketed as laxatives - they are NOT. They will of course relieve and prevent constipation, but they are just as effective at treating diarrhea, and they will not compromise normal bowel function at all once your IBS is under control - they'll simply keep things normal. Soluble fiber will, in fact, work beautifully to keep your GI tract running smoothly, comfortably, and pain-free on a day-to-day basis.
From: FAQs
Most of the major fiber supplements are just soluble fiber and suitable for both IBS-D and IBS-C. The exception is Metamucil which contains both soluble and insoluble fiber and might therefore be more suitable for IBS-C than IBS-D.

Thanks! Do you know how much fiber is in each pill? I couldn't find that on the label so I'm not sure how many to take. I already take 12mg of fiber through the Acacia powder, so I just want to use this as a fill-in when necessary. Thanks so much!

I use the generic Fibercon from Costco. It's the cheapest I've found with 250 caplets for about $7.

The FAQ page I referenced in my earlier post gives the amount of SF in a lot of the name-brand supplements. Heather says, "Two Fibercon tablets contain 1 gram soluble fiber".
