Does anyone have a list or know of some good salad dressings & spread alternatives, that are safe?

As I'm new to this and still trying to see what is safe and what's not, it can be contradictory at times.

I was told to try and find non hydrogenated soy margerine, and like products. If I can't find that, is "partially non-hydrogenated" margerine fairly safe?

Regarding cookies, I was told dairy free on those as well. Aside from Kinnikinnick Foods, any other cookie / graham cracker sources ?

Any thoughts and comments are welcomed, thx!

For salad dressing, I tend to look for the low-fat or fat free Kraft or Hellman's dressings in the flavours I like normally, which are usually oil & vinegar style dressings. I had found an awesome , dairy free caesar dressing but since then it was discontinued .
For spreads, I use Vegganaise when I can get it. When I can't I sparingly use Hellman's transfat free (red lid).

Can't help with cookies as I don't eat store bought, I make my own.

For margarine, use the best you can find and see how you are with it. Remember that everyone's system is different and only you will know what you can tolerate.

Best of luck!

In margarines, Smart Balance Light (not regular Smart Balance) is dairy-free.

For graham crackers, try Keebler - I believe they're dairy-free.

There are a couple of sticky posts at the top of the Board with some brand name recommendations. You can check those out. Just be sure to read ingredients even for recommended foods - manufacturers have a nasty habit of changing ingredients without warning.

BTW, as far as I know, hydrogenated versus non-hydrogenated doesn't make any difference IBS-wise although it may in terms of general health.
