Has anyone tried this and will it help with my D?
Thanks.

from what i understand i thought Miralax was a laxative used to treat constipation but it is not available in Canada so i am probably not the best person to answer for you. if you type it into a search on the internet or this site you should find alot of informatin on it, it has been posted about on here alot previously

I have this at home. It does work but for me it makes me have cramping and pain and so I don't think this is on my 'safe' list anymore. Costco sells it (here anyway) also. Try it for a week or two - your stomach will let you know if it is okay or not!!!! Good luck!

Mirilax is not available here in Canada but as I posted elsewjere I am using one 8 oz. glass a day of Klean Prep which has basically the same indigredients. Trying to adjust to it at moment.
In large doses it is meant for a colon prep before a colonscopy.

Miralax ( a laxative for constipation) for someone with D? Is he trying to kill you?
Don't touch it if you are D!

I have to agree with Jordy. Miralax is a laxative used to treat constipation, it's not a soluble fiber supplement.

It sounds like a case of someone not listening! I had a young MD put me on zelnorm once because my xray showed C supposedly (I think it was just all the fiber I take). That stuff messed me up in a week! That was how I found Heather's diet though.
-------------------- IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
