I am confused. Soy is a soluble fiber. What kind of Soy? Soy Milk, Ice cream, yogurt, cheese, Meat Substitues. Are they all considered fiber? Thank you all for your help. My problem is constant diarrhea. New to this diet and confused.

From what I understand, all soy products are soluble fiber. Welcome to the board!

There isn't a single answer to your question.

Soy is composed of soluble fiber (SF) and insoluble fiber (IF). Different soy products contain different amounts of each. For example, 100 grams of tofu contains about 2.5 grams of fiber and there are about equal amounts of SF than IF. However, 100 grams soy beans contains about 7 grams of fiber of which about 4 grams is IF and 3 grams is SF. On the other hand 100 grams soy meal contains about 10 grams of fiber of which 7.5 grams is IF and 2.5 grams SF. And 100 grams soy milk contains about 1 gram of fiber and there are about equal amounts of SF and IF.
