I also noticed that sometimes a particular food will bother me but other times I can eat it with no problems. This has a lot to do with what you've ate previously that day or what you are eating with that particular "trigger" food. Also, eating trigger foods on an empty stomach will usually mean disaster but if you eat them with some SF in your stomach they may not bother you as much. Maybe you should consider keeping a food journal to keep track of what you've eaten.

Amyleanne gave you some good advice. You must always take care to put the right food on an empty stomach. Also you must make sure that you combine IF with SF and eat the SF first-the order matters. I usually eat a piece of fresh french bread before lunch and dinner to "cushion" the balance of my food. Also, before I got stable (Stable is one normal BM per day for me with no pain) I stuck to the breaking the cycle diet which did NOT include veggies at all except potatoes (which are really a starch). When I tried to add the veggies too soon I had very bad reactions but now I am eating lots of veggies with my rice, potatoes, pasta and bread.
