Ok, I did something really stupid this morning. I had McDonald's for breafast. I was quite sick afterwards (stomach pain, burning) but I did not eat until dinner and was feeling normal again. Then for dinner I have salmon and sweet potato, something I normally eat fine. Now I'm in pain again. Why, when the offending meal was 10 hours ago? Is it because the bad stuff from breakfast is still in my system?

Probably. Usually I don't react to triggers until a couple hours later, or even the next day. So it's probably still in your system. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm suffering from a stupid mcdonalds mistake last night. I can tolerate the chicken nuggets fine.....but I knew I shouldn't have gotten that double cheeseburger.

Once my bowel is irritated by something, it stays radioactive for a day or two afterward. It just sets it off and then I need to eat blandly. Try eating small meals or snacks of light food that you know agree with you. Toast, applesauce, etc.

OMG you're brave!! And not because I worked at McD's for 4 years and know the calorie and fat contents! I haven't set foot in a fast food restaurant for myself in over 4 years. The closest I get is Subway or Quiznos for a veggie sub, no cheese!!

Sorry you're hurting, hopefully with some SF your tum will settle down soon.

I personally HATE McDonalds! Rarely if ever when I eat there do I feel "ok" ... YUCK YUCK!!! Too much grease and fat!

As for it lingering ... it would make sense ... until you restabilize and or get rid of the offending stuff ... I usually feel lousy for a while
