Although I like the way my tummy feels when I eat things made from refined white flour, my brain knows that it's not healthy to eat this way long term. Plus I am afraid of putting on weight. (While I realize I'm eating a very low-fat diet, I feel as though I am always hungry, so I'm eating more).
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck substituting oat flour for white flour in recipes.
Thanks!

I'm not sure baout the oat flour thing, but as long as you are still eating a variety of foods, white flour is NOT unhealthy for you. And it won't make you gain weight. I've lost 16 lbs since starting this diet! I have lost more weight on this diet in 3 months than I did on ATKINS (low-carb) in 1 year (2003-4).

Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!

I realize that white flour alone will not make me gain weight. However, as I stated in my first post, I constantly feel hungry (whether as a result of eating white flour or simply feeling better, I'm not sure), which makes me eat more. And increased caloric intake does lead to weight gain.
Has anyone tried oat flour and digested it well??

I've done a mix of both oat and white flour because I just can't do whole grain flours on its own. I used it in a pancake recipe and it tasted just fine. Unfortunately, I don't remember the recipe. I used Bob's Red Mill Oat Flour.
