Has anyone had experience with pure maple syrup?

I can't use honey so I use pure organic maple syrup a lot with no issues.

If you have problems fructose then you have to be careful of which grade of maple syrup you use. Premium quality maple syrup has more glucose than fructose while most commercial grades contain more fructose than glucose.
If you are fructose sensitive then stick with premium maple syrup. Otherwise, any grade should be ok.

I haven't had it for a while but when i was stable (couple of years ago) i used to have it on my porridge. It was amazing and didn't cause any problems.

Hmm. That might explain why I often have trouble with maple syrup. I usually just buy regular Aunt Jemima syrup. Do you know a brand that would be considered premium? Or do I only have to step into my nearest tourist shop to buy any good 'ol Canadian maple syrup?

Every half decent grocery store in Canada sells pure maple syrup - you don't need to hit the souvenir shops. I also eat it on my oatmeal. Even the thought of Aunt Jemima, yech.

Thanks for the maple syrup replies; now, what about decaf white tea? It is far lower in tannins than black or green so I was wondering.........?

I'll take a look when I go shopping tomorrow. I have a huge box of perfectly good pancke mix that I haven't been using because Aunt Jemima makes me too rumbly. I've been meaning to try them with other toppings but I've been too lazy!

Unfortunately the sugar content of Canadian maple syrup is not available. I am waiting for the results of a study that was commission by Health Canada over a year ago. Try the Fancy Grade US maple syrup.
It took me a lot of experimenting to figure out that maple syrup was a problem for me.

I have buckwheat pancakes and maple syrup(Camp pure Canadian) maple syrup.
I don't think it has ever given me any problems. And DELICIOUS!
