just curious about this one. i know a lot of us, especially women, get those sweet cravings , sometimes during pms, or just all the time , like me. i've always been a candy junkie. not necessarily chocolate, i mean , like anything gummy, chewy, always loved that sensation of chewy sweet stuff stuck to my teeth! anyway, has anyone found some little sweets that they can tolerate. and, if so, please share! so far, i think i'm ok with twizzlers. oh, and i love kukaburra licorice, from australia. swedish fish have always been a fav and they are fat free. around the holidays i like those spicy little gum drops. please post! i'd like to make a safe list so i can stock my secret candy stash cabinet! katharine

Believe it or not I am one of the lucky ones that can eat just about any kind of sweet thing and it doesn't affect my IBS. Sometimes brownies though can be a trigger but as far as candy I can eat all candy out there that doesn't have artificial sweetners in it like suclralose or sacchrin. Watch out for those. You'll be surprised what candy has that ingredient. Now as far as Swedish Fish...I can't eat too many of them. They bother my tummy if I eat a lot. Not sure what's in them that does that to me. Boy do I love them though

I don't like to eat refined sugar, but for me, dried figs, dates, and prunes, if you can handle them are as sweet as candy and much better for you. Sometimes it's hard for me to stop because they taste just like candy.

I love Purdy's Dark Chocolate (70% cocoa, dairy-free), in very small amounts. I got a dark chocolate Santa in November and just finished it a few days ago!

After eating a safe dinner, I eat a mini-size Butterfinger. I do this almost every night with no problems

I can eat any dairy free candy, which means I can eat pretty much any hard candy. My favorite lately is dark chocolate covered cranberries or raisins. They're dairy free and I buy them by the pound at WinCo in Washington state.

I absolutely adore luna bars - vanilla or chocolate brownie. They're dairy free and have the added bonus of vitamins. I live in the uk and am thinking of moving to the US just for these little bars of heaven! It costs so much to buy them over the internet and have them imported but i don't think i'd live without them!

For me - Hersey's Kisses - that way I can really moderate the volume of chocolate Swedish berries - not unlike your fish Nibs or red licorice
And chocolate - usually the good stuff like Lindt / Lindor in moderation - like 1 every so often because each ball has 14g of fat!

Live like there's no tomorrow. Love like you've never loved before.
IBS A 20+ years, Chronic Migraines, Chiari Malformation (decompressed June 22, 2010), Brachial Neuritis, and ??? the list just keeps growing, but I'm still shiny side up!

I've only tried a couple as the selection is really limited here in Canada, but my absolute favourite is the Toasted Nuts and Cranberry! I tried the S'Mores flavour but found it too sweet.

I LOVE Super Bubble bubble gum (original). It's hard to find here, so I order it from an Amazon seller who happens to be located nearby.
I also love mini candy canes. For whatever reason, the big ones aren't as good for me. I can eat a couple of the mini ones, though, with no problem.
I can also tolerate candy hearts and candy corn, in moderation (moderation = 3-4 hearts or 6-8 corn).
Another thing I eat frequently, although it's not candy... I make s'mores without chocolate. I use Keebler graham crackers (original or cinnamon) topped with Kraft mini marshmallows, and I toast them in the toaster oven. YUM!!!
