I know some may think this is a lame post...but it was a huge step for me to challenge myself and my fear.

This brought me such comfort. Thank you! It helped reduce the anxiety.

As far is how it sat with me....well, nothing different happened. Same old symptoms as always...except more C today.

Does pumpkin cause anyone else C?

I soooooo know how you feel! I've only officially been on this diet just over two months, but I have always been "afraid of food". I've had IBS since I was a teenager, and am so tired of wondering if what I put in my mouth is going to make me sick. I hope that healthy people realize how truly fortunate they are!!! That something as simple as an unpeeled apple can't so easily be taken for granted by some people.

IBS-A since age 12, and fructose sensitive; with the exception of my pregnancy, have been following Heather's diet since Nov. 19, 2007.
Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!

I'm new to this site but it's really encouraging to find out that i'm not the only one afraid of food. I've spent all of my adult life being jealous of people who can eat what they want to without pain. Well done with the apple I've decided to try and eat one new thing every Saturday so if it doesn't agree with me at least i don't have to go into work in pain. Maybe you could try an apple again in a few days.
