I was doing well using the Acacia fiber and the peppermint caps, until Christmas Day. I'm pretty certain I know what went wrong then but since then I've had difficulty getting stabilized. I've been eating only soluble fiber for the past five or six days and although BM's are not really "normal", there's been no urgency or diarrhea. The main problem is excessive gas. This occurs mainly in the evening after dinner. The one night I had no problem whatsoever was the night I ate some halibut. That was my calmest evening in months. Needless to say, I'm a little confused! I take digestive enzymes in addition to the fiber and peppermint caps. I'm currently using 2 tsps. of fiber 3 - 4 times a day. Is this too much or am I not using enough? I could use some advice or suggestions. Thank you!

What is your typical dinner?

You might reconsider taking digestive enzymes. Generally, they are ground-up plant material which is most IF. I found they caused me more problems than they solved
