I've followed Heather's diet off and on for several years, and consistently for several months, and I still have mushy stools every morning. The only time I had firm stools recently was during the few days I was on an antibiotic to get rid of a parasite. The drug constipated me horribly. As long as I take Immodium daily, I can usually keep my D under control. But I don't know if that's a good idea to do for years at a time.
I'm thinking of working with a nutritionist to see if I'm sensitive to certain foods. I tested negative for Celiac. I have diverticulosis but it's under control. I also have endometriosis, but I'm peri-menopausal now and hope those symptoms go away with menopause. Oh, and I take 1 tablespoon of Acacia twice a day. I'm thinking that dose might be too high for me.
Any thoughts on elimination diets?

I just signed up for one online at foodintol.com. It is supposedly guaranteed to ferret out your allergies or intolerances in 35 days (Lactose, frucotse, wheat or gluten). We'll see if it works- I have been on the IBS diet for 2 years and have only been stable for a month or two, so I think I need to look elsewhere.

Fen: I think I replied to your private email on this one. Can you copy it to the boards?

I just checked and I don't have any private messages from you - I don't know where your reply went! Sorry!
