I've been using the Acacia fiber for about a month and have had some positive results. Then some of the old "problems" started occuring so I have been increasing the fiber a little at a time. I'm still having some problems and I don't know whether to continue increasing the fiber or is there a point where the amout of fiber can actually start causing the problem? I'm currently using 1 Tbsp three times a day (I was on Benefiber for almost 2 years before that). Can anyone give my the benefit of their experience? Thank you!

Solunle fiber isn't supposed to cause or worsen either C or D. It CAN however worsen bloating and gas, especially if you take too much or more than your body is used to. I have been increasing my dose by 1/2 tsp (1 gram of fiber) per week, and by the time I reached 9 grams a day, I felt like I was ready to rise up and float away because my gas was so bad. I cut back to 8 grams and that seems to be the magic number for me. C and D aren't 100% stable, but I feel like I'm perhaps 90% there.

Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!
