Hi. I wanted to ask if anyone else takes this medicine and how does it work for you. I have had GREAT results so far.
Thanks.
Tom.

Hi, I am starting Bentyl this week for the first time (apparently Levbid is not being manufactured anymore, which I've been taking for the past year and a half). I'll report back with my results.

I was prescribed Bentyl. When it was prescribed months ago, it just made me constipated, but I only tried it for a few days. My doctor wants me to give it another try, but I haven't had the need to yet.

My experience with Bentyl was that it worked well when I ate smart and took it well before I ate and on an empty stomach. It did nothing for me when I was experiencing an attack. I also felt it lost its efficacy after a month or so. However, that is me. It may work differently for you. I just started Levsin because it is faster acting. It seems to work better for me.

Bentyl seems to work for me (ibs with D) if i take it regularly ( 3 x/day) and eat for ibs. like another person mentioned- it doesn't help during attacks- i find immodium to be the most helpful then.
