...i really dislike taking calcium supplements (i've been taking calcium citrate as i'm IBS-C) because they make me bloated and give me a sore stomach. So, i was wondering if anyone relies solely on their diet to provide them with enough calicum? If so, could you give me an idea of what you eat in a day in order to get the full quota of calcium?
Many thanks

I'm not taking calcium supplements, but I thinnk I may have to start. I make sure to buy the fortified soy milk, but one cup of that a day isn't enough (I still only get about 40% of my required calcium). I suppose if the supplements disagree with me, I could always start drinking two cups of soy milk a day...

Taking 12g of Acacia per day. Relatively stable since March 2008!

Have you been taking only calcium or a calcium & magnesium combo? The magnesium would help C. Also, I have found that liquid supplements are much easier on the stomach. Consider trying a liquid cal/mag before giving up completely.
Foods I eat for calcium: almonds, seaweed (nori, dulse), quinoa, amaranth, papaya, bok choy

I just take the calcium because when i take the calcium/magnesium combo i get really loose stools. I'll definitely consider taking the liquid if i can find a UK supplier.
