Is list an uncompassionate money making web site or do the people here REALLY care about anyone else other than themselves?

Ouch, harsh..
Please don't take people not responding personally.. Sometimes it's something as simple as not many people being on the boards at a certain time, or the boards getting flooded with posts and sometimes some get lost in the confusion or it could be that some of the people on here don't know how to help you or can't relate so they don't post anything..

I think that Dajara has said it right ... I think most of us don't reply because we don't know how to help, or even how to answer a certain question ... When someone finally answers a question that's when we all are able to learn.
There are many folks on this site that are able to offer their help and experiences … just keep posting. Someone will be able to help with your questions, eventually ...
By the way or you c or d?

Is sweating and having the chills part of IBS symptoms?

Not usually for me. Not chills. Although... when I have had a really bad time of diarrhea I ache and hurt all over, not just my bottom. I sweat, but not chills.
What is your temperature? Is it high or low?

I'm aware that this may come off as offensive initially. Please know that I don't mean it that way.
Everyone here cares about others and themselves. They help when they can and they don't when they can't. Sometimes they are just too sick. Sometimes it's a holiday and no one is here. Sometimes we need to help ourselves. Most of the information I have stored in my brain about IBS I didn't get from this site. I do my own research and figure what works for my body and my symptoms. The first step in getting help is helping yourself. Please be patient with us. Remember that this forum is for support. No one here is a doctor. We can only give our opinions or advice. We can only say "this worked for me". No one here is making any money off these boards. Heather is stretched thin and the moderators volunteer their time. If no one responds to your post, try bumping it. Also try searching for posts on what info you're looking for. Know that everyone here helps when they can and if no one here has the answer your looking for (or any answer at all) it's not personal.
As for the sweats and chills associated with IBS, I've had both, mostly sweats after hot flashes. The only reason I didn't respond to your post is I just didn't see it.
We all want everyone to have good health and happy lives. But the only person who can do that for someone is oneself.

when I have an attack, I get sweats and chills 30 minutes after I start eating. Sometimes I get so hot, I have to remove all my clothing (don't laugh!) and sweat it out on the toilet.
The D comes after that. Like the sweats, it comes in waves. I find having a watch to look at sooths my anxiety; I know when to expect the next wave by timing the sweats.
The only thing that breaks this cycle is opiates for me. I have tried a number of therapies. If I take 8mg of codeine + acetaminophen as soon as the sweats start, then another dose a few minutes after, it "resets" my system. Don't know how, but it works great.
For the last few years I've been on opiate therapy, and it's allowed me to have more than a half hour meal without having to run to the bathroom all the time.

I agree with the girls. But, we all have lives outside of this forum ie:work, maybe travel for work, family, personal issues or whatever. And maybe there IBS is bothering them so there sick and maybe not on everyday. We all get along here and try to help each other when we CAN.
I hope you feel better but in the future its not necessary to be so Harsh.. If you feel so horrible maybe you should see a professional that can help you. Were not doctors.
