Tested positive for SIBO Took Antibiotics NO &*%$ING IMPROVEMENT!!!
I am considering the Fructose Malasborbtion Diet, after getting linked to it through this board after asking about SIBO, just to give it a shot.
The article that I was linked to lists what I CANNOT have. However, it is not clear as to what I can have. Can someone who knows ANYTHING about this list what is acceptable? I remember reading chicken, rice, oatmeal and like 1 freakin bite of a banana, but what else?
What fruits are ok? What veggies are ok? What meats are ok? What grains are ok? What about suppliments? What spices/ flavorings are ok?
Thank you in advance.

I believe the answer to most of your questions were given in this series of postings
First follow a general IBS diet like Heather's EFI diet with the restrictions given below.
The fruits you can eat are given in the list of favourable foods in Table 3 of this article. However, be cautious of stone fruits.
The vegetables that you should not eat are given in Tables 6 and 7 of this article
The grain you should reduce your consumption of is wheat.
Stay away from supplements contains things like inulin, FOS and fructose.
Use spices/flavorings that don't upset you IBS.

Most of the table is given in this message
The link is to a standard pdf file. You might try loading it again. Perhaps the server on which is located was a bit slow. I just tried loading it a couple of times and I did not encounter any problems.
Good luck

Here is a website I just found: http://john.toebes.com/diet.htm This is for people who have fructose intolerance, which is more serious than fructose malabsorption and gastrointestinal symptoms, so it may be more restricted than for fructose malabsorption, but it tells you what you can eat at least.

so my father makes this dish for dinner and i was wondering if it would be safe... he usually cooks garlic in a little bit of olive oil, then adds mushrooms, onions, peppers and squash. Chicken or pork chops. There is a sauce he puts on that is calorie fat sugar gluten carb cholesterol free its ingredients are water, white vinegar, apple cider vinegar, balsamic vinegar, sun dried tomatoes, cellulose gel, salt, lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, red bell peppers, white pepper, nat flavors and spices, xanthan gum, propylene glycol alginate, sodium benzoate and sucralose

There is sucralose in the sauce, which is Splenda -- a sugar substitute that causes a lot of problem for IBSers. Also, eat pork chops at your own risk. Even though it's white when cooked, technically it is red meat because it comes from a mammal. According to Heather's Eating for IBS Diet, red meat is a common trigger among IBSers.
