I am also taking 2 aloe, and 2 magnesium and Im still constipated!! Can anyone help....I am adding a lot of IF(veggies, Ezekiel flourless bread, I even had a smoothie this morning with a banana, strawberries and some apple juice),eliminated all dairy, drinking tons of water and I workout 6 days a week...what else can I do??????? Hi Haley,

You may not like this but I would try to eliminate the wheat free bread. Wheat free products often contain substitute bean flours and those may be the culprit. When I had a pretty good few weeks this past summer I was eating tons of french bread - yup, that white, yummy stuff. And my C got so much better! And I still managed to lose weight even though I was eating white bread.
If you're miserable I would give regular white flour a shot.

I've never tried natural calm so I'm not sure how effective that is. Although a lot of people here had success with it.

Here's my sample menu:

morning - cup of "fake coffee" (Caro) with rice milk or a cup of molasses drink (1 T of molasses poured over with hot water plus rice milk)
breakfast - oatmeal squares mixed with rice crispies, rice milk
snack - banana or apple (I can eat them with skin most of the time)
lunch - sandwich made with french bread, Marmite spread (yeast extract and it's definitely and acquired taste ), slided avocado and turkey breast
snack - rice cakes with butter substitute, or fruit (apple, banana), or cereal with rice milk
dinner - grilled chicken or fish with potatoes (white or sweet) or rice, or baked potatoes with salsa, or home stir-fry made with chicken+mushrooms+sprouts+rice noodles
snack - dry cereal out of the box (I just LOVE those oatmeal squares) or a cookie (homemade or chips ahoy if I was feeling good)
supplements - 1 serving of Citrucel twice a day plus 250mg of Mg.

Now that I think about it dinners were usually very similar to recipes in EFI book.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon!

And this allows you to have a BM everyday????
seems like the only veggies you have are with dinner? but u are still able to "go"
I have an appt with a new GI on thursday because my lasts tests( upper and lower GI, ultrasound, colonoscopy) were 6 years ago and I have just been self medicating (aloe, coffee, monthly colonics) so I know that i shoud get re tested and I dont know if he ever tested for SIBO or Celiacs

o by the way, thanks for your meal plan
you love that cereal:)
its hard for me to not get anxiety about eating all these carbs...even after reading the articles on it

Yes, this meal plan pretty much worked in summer and allowed me to have a BM every day or almost every day. But I was home (as in I didn't travel), had a regular schedule and had time to focus on my diet. Then I went on vacation and pretty much fell off the wagon and I'm still trying to get back. I think the major change that allowed me to have BM was cutting out dairy. And portion control worked, I had 5-6 small meals a day and it was great. Now my eating is much more random - I skip a meal and eat a lot during the next one. It's really bad for me and makes me C and gives me gas. I'm just having difficulties not to eat a lot when I'm really hungry. I'm trying to get back to eating regular meals though.
You're right about the veggies, I don't really eat many except for dinner sometimes. I just never liked them much but I eat bananas and I think they help as the have a lot of fiber:)
