6 months of IBS

This has been a horrible six months, although I have learned to live with this and have lost over 40 lbs. I have a Dr. Appointment this week and was wondering if there was any new and exciting prescriptions I should ask for?

Your first 6 months? Didja have a colonoscopy to confirm that you have IBS? Have you read either of Heather's books? If not, they're a MUST READ. And if you follow ALL her advice (and not just some, like I did), you'll feel a lot better. Good step forward to find this website; you'll get a lot of help here. Welcome! Bev.

I agree you should ask the doctor depending on whether you have diarrhea or constipation. I have both-Heather's diet and fiber (soluble)are keys for me. I use librax which helps the diarrhea and bowel spasms. Eveyone is different! Good Luck! Maryh
