Make sure you have regular colonosopys done if you have IBS no matter the age. It could perhaps lead to colon cancer in later years.

There isn't any research evidence showing that IBS may lead to colon cancer or any other life threatening disease. However, it is always wise to have a regular colonoscopy.

Heather says in her book that IBS will not lead to any deseases or cancers.
