I need to have soluble fiber in the mornings, but breakfasts are a problem for me. I don't like banana bread (although I have no doubt that Shanna's is delicious). Heather suggested rice or corn cereal. Anyone know a good kind? I love soy milk, I just need the cereal. Thanks!

There have been a ton of posts on this. Try doing a search with no time limits to find them.
Some I can think of off the top of my head: corn chex, rice chex, cripsix, rice krispies, honeycomb, corn flakes. If you want hot cereals, cream of rice or grits.

I used to eat corn flakes 100 years ago, guess I can do that again -- with sliced bananas (ew) or maybe berries of some kind. Wish I could get used to oatmeal (EW!). I'm such a fussy eater, I should be skinny as a rail. Thanks again, Mags.

I just tried a cold cereal for the first time in 3 months this morning! I used "Barbara's Bite Size Shredded Oats". They are super yummy and best of all, no IBS attack!
I think I found it at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's

Yeah -- Trader Joe's. Great place! I used to shop there when I lived down in your neck of the woods. I'll try to find it up here -- thanks!

It's THE BEST health food store. They have EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, it's in California (and I'm up here in Washington), and you can't go near the parking lot it's so jammed. A VERY popular place indeed! Bev

Did you know Trader Joe's is a chain? They're all over, not just in California. We have them here too! Check www.traderjoes.com under 'Locations' and see if you can find one near you.

Thanks, Mags. I knew it was a chain, and I knew there were some up here in Washington, but I'm WAY UP here in the sticks -- there ain't none nowhere here nohow. Poor poor pitiful me. I'll just have to suffer. Maybe I'll go out in the garden and eat worms.

Bevs, I didn't read all the posts, but I have found, Honeycombs, Rice Chex and Frosted Rice Chex are great and I do well with them. I was eating Fruity Pebbles, but I think I read that there is sorbitol in the ingredients....that stupid sorbitol.

Could you possibly be any CUTER?!?
Thank you SOOOOO much!
Unfortunately, I'm not near any of these cities; I'm WAAAAAY up north, directly on the Canadian border (I could practically walk across), and there's NOTHING up here!
Well, actually there is a little health food store 30 miles south of me, so I drive down there every week for my Mocha Fudge fix. (Say, did you know that they separate the fudge part from the mocha -- so that what I'm really getting is my mocha fix -- but without the coffee guilt. Pretty sneaky, eh? Don't tell Heather.)
Thanks again, Cutie!

Thanks, Pretty Lady! Actually this was an old post of mine, and I did get a lot of great responses -- can you believe how many people read it?!? Wow!
I've tried all kinds of cereal -- in fact, this morning I had Toasted Oatmeal -- but I just really don't like the stuff. I prefer Shanna's incredible banana bread, toasted, with soy butter on it -- just like Shanna has it every morning. Truly GREAT stuff. I make two loaves at a time and keep some in the freezer, to have it on hand. With hubby around, it's difficult -- he LOVES the stuff!
Thanks again, cutie!
