QUINOA is listed as a soluble fiber food - but everytime I look it up on the web it says high in INsoluble fiber.
Anyone else eat this stuff? Grain or flake and how much? Do you use it like soluble fiber in your IBS diet? It is HIGH fat - If you eat it by the cupful...to be honest, its very heavy can't imagine who could stomach that - and that high fat can be a problem for us.
Anyone know the grams for soluble and insoluble for a serving of 1/4 cup or 1 cup? Did you know 1 cup of cooked Quinoa is 600 calories and has more calcium than a quart of milk?!
I eat only 1/4 cup at a time. Bathroom results are mixed so far but more D I think (it is very high in magnesium too) - geez the stuff is high in everything except one thing - NO OXALATE - which is a godsend for me.
Help.

I don't know about the SF vs IF question but from what I'm seeing quinoa gets about 13% of its calories from fat which is high for a grain but great overall.

I LOVE quinoa!! I use it as a SF base with no problems. As a vegetarian, I'm always looking for new protein sources!
