Decaffeinated Constant Comment Tea with honey. Some IBSers might have trouble with honey on an empty stomach (it doesn't bother me) in which case you can just use sugar.

Favorite/constant morning drink - RocaMojo Mocha Soy together with RocaMojo half-coffee half-soy roast --> about one quarter the coffee of a full-coffee brew. Also, I make it a French press coffee maker.

I checked out the site for low-acid coffee that you gave us, because coffee is my one "cheat" on the no-trigger-foods diet for IBS--see Giving It up for IBS and some of my more confessional posts, like Planet-Saving Brew: Soy Coffee or Coffee for IBS.

My take on the Puroast site is disappointment that they don't have even the shaky pseudo-clinical trials that many supplements offer. They seem to be claiming health benefits for their coffee, and claim "research" support. Checking into it more, the research support is for their process of reducing acid. They also have figures on how much of what acids their coffee does not contain. Good. They have established their claim to lower acidity.

What they have not shown is that this coffee is well-tolerated by people with IBS. For that they would need clinical trials, or accumulated anecdotal evidence and testimonials, or viral marketing through supplying samples to IBS blogs in exchange for reviews -- or something that says it works for people with IBS.

But I love coffee, so I would try it out anyway. What I would do is substitute their "Mocha Java" flavor into my formula of 1/4 coffee, 3/4 mocha soy.

That's because I'm fairly stable, on IBS diet, 46 grams of mostly soluble fiber (SF), a probiotic, and both Zantac and Prevacid. If it's the only change, and I don't try new fruits or vegetables in the week that I try Puroast, then I would know whether it works for me. And that the jury is still out on whether it works for others with IBS.
