How effective are the hypno CD's?

I am trying to get off of ADs for my IBS because I am really tired of the side effects. Going off Effexor is a nightmare, btw. If any one has done it, I'd love some advice on how to get through it one piece!
Anyhow, because I am going off the AD, I know that I need something to help me cope with anxiety and stress. I have a really stressful job and it always seems to trigger symptoms for me. I haven't been stable in about a month now.
I am so skeptical of the hypno CDs. Do they really work? I am IBS-D if that makes any difference.

Hey there!! Haven't "seen" you around in awhile. I replied to your AD post in the Living Room - yes, as far as I'm concerned, Effexor is the DEVIL! I feel your pain, hon.
The hypno CDs are GREAT. I went through the program twice. They helped me get through my anxiety over restaurants, among other things, which was huge for me. Definitely give them a shot!!

The hypno is pretty good. Some people have been vitrually symptom free from the first round.

Thanks for your input! Both of you! 
Yes, I haven't been on the boards in a while. I am so consumed with work lately. I am sure that some of that stress is contributing to my symptoms.
