I KNOW I HAVE IBS, BUT IS IT SUPPOSED TO LEAVE YOU VERY SORE INSIDE? OR IS THIS STOMACH INFLAMMATION? ONE OF THE SYMPTOMS OF IBS IS PAIN IN THE RECTUM, WHICH I HAVE MOST OF THE TIME. PERHAPS AN ANTIBIOTIC WOULD HELP? I HAVE SEEN DOCTORS, AND ONE SAID THERE WAS SOME STOMACH INFLAMMATION AND A "THICKENING". THIS COULD BE WHY I'M IN PAIN ALL THE TIME, EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID IT WAS "INSIGNIFICANT". TO ME IT IS NOT. I'M TAKING DONNATAL RIGHT NOW FOR TWO WEEKS. SHOULD I CHANGE IT TO ANOTHER ANTISPASMODIC, OR TRY AN ANTIBIOTIC. MY IBS CAME ON VERY SUDDEN AFTER BEING SICK WITH SOME KIND OF STOMACH VIRUS. ALSO,DOES PEPPERMINT TEA MAKE INFLAMMATION WORSE? DOES CALCIUM HELP WITH CRAMPS AND INFLAMMATION?
PLEASE HELP!

Inflammation is not a symptom of IBS. I would go see a new doctor. I know it can seem like an endless parade of doctor visits to find someone but it's well worth the effort when you find someone who will listen. Peppermint helps to soothe the gut. It's a powerful natural relaxant. It shouldn't hurt any unless you have reflux problems.
On a side note, when you write in all caps, it comes off like you're yelling at us. I know that you're not, but that's generally what caps indicate.
