I'm having a test on Thursday and I have to stop my levsin today (48 hours) before the test, because it will affect the results of the testing........aside from having to stop it until after the test is done, I know I'm going to be thinking about this for the next 48 hours and I'm afraid it will cause a lot of stress......Any suggestions on how to handle this situation and what I could possibly use to help my unGodly colon spasm if it comes....any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just told you that I've been off the diet for a little while so spasms have been with me off and on. One thing that does help me when I'm having one is xanax or similiar med. Don't know if you can take any meds with your tests. Good luck with the test and the nerves.

I take a half an ativan at bedtime to help me sleep, my husand uses Xanax for his anxiety, should I take a little more at bedtime, that is when my attacks usually occur.

Hot tea helps mine. For myself, it doesn't seeem to matter what kind, so long as it is IBS safe. I think it's the heat that helps my gut relax.
