AND to my unbelievable surprise it did not make me sick. I took my acacia fiber right before we ate and i made sure to eat the bagette they had on the table. We ate at the CHeescake Factory in CHicago which is so rich and I was terrified! I asked about every single type of sauce on every dish until I found one i thought would be light enough and it was fabulous. I made sure to not eat the whole (not even close and it was the lunch portion- those things are HUGE). I rode a bus for 5 hours on the way home after that and nothing happened. to me this was a miracle, this was my test before my real vacation next week to Florida for a week, and now I have hope. So I want to say thank you to Heather and everyone on the boards because you have no idea how much you have all helped me!!

Holy cow...a five hour drive AFTER eating at the Cheesecake Factory? Consider that a huge IBS accomplishment! Good for you. Not only that you ate safely but that you had the courage to be nonchalant about it and ride on the bus afterwards. What a feat. Congratulations and I'm sure your trip will go very well if you just do the same thing again.

I love the Cheesecake factory, but I haven't been there in a long time, and wouldn't you know my BF suggested we give it a try tonight. I am a bit skeptical about finding something good for me, so after a search I found this post. Can I ask what you ordered? or any of the things you asked about that you didn't think would work for our diet?

Were you at the Cheesecake Factory at Woodfield Mall? Just curious because there are so many tour buses that come here. I live near the mall and that is my local Cheesecake Factory.
