Heather or anyone, I can't afford to buy the supplements for the tummy cause I am unemployed. Is there any other alternative? I wish I could try them because my bloating is horrible. Also, what other products help for bloating? Anything? Thankyou

You can get all of the SF you need from your diet. For example, you can try eating regular oatmeal for breakfast and cool or slightly reheated cooked rice, potatoes or pasta with your lunch and supper meals. These foods have a high content of resistant starch that acts just like SF. In order to increase the amount of resistant starch in rice, potatoes and pasta you need to cook them and then let them cool.
Are you IBS-C, IBS-D or IBS-A?

I don't use any supplements at all, personally... I've been able to get all the SF I need from food, doing exactly what Syl recommended.
Fennel is usually recommended for bloating and gas - you can try to get your hands on some fennel tea. It's really not that expensive (I'm speaking from the perspective of someone else who's unemployed, btw), and it might really help. I'm not sure how expensive they are, but something like Beano or Gas-X might help too. I've also found that it helps to stay active - especially yoga, lots of deep stretching.
Honestly, gas and bloating are the hardest symptoms to control, but should lessen as you stabilize. You may have to just bear it for a while more.
