Just got back from Alaska late last night & am having a horrible flare up of symptoms. I am IBS-C with severe bloating. I know the BTC diet guidelines, but am really hurting this morning and am hoping for some quick fixes. Any suggestions?

Fennel is a miracle for me. If you don't have fennel tea, you can get fennel seed capsules at any GNC, vitamin shop, etc. This helps tons with pain and bloating.

Hope it helps!

When you drink the fennel tea, try chewing up some of the seeds and swallowing them. This helps me better than just drinking the tea. I am IBS-C, pain predominate, and it doesn't stop the pain & spasms immediately. It takes me atleast a couple of hours, so what I do is drink it and chew the seeds after every meal as a preventative. It took me a while to get use to the taste though.

Good luck

You can tear open a tea bag for the seeds. I eat some of the seeds after I have brewed the tea and the seeds are soft. I buy loose seeds at one of the International Markets near my house.
