I was checking out the Coldstone website tonight and found out that they have new smoothies made with soymilk and/or sorbet! I think they look safe, as well as just their sorbet on it's own. Will someone double check and let me know what you think? I would be SO excited to be able to go there with my family again!!
Here's a link to the sorbet ingredients. The smoothie flavors can be found through the main site.

Fingers crossed!!

The ices looke pretty safe to me, too. The smoothies also look safe, but I'd make darn sure I watched them pour the soy milk in and I wouldn't have one on an empty stomach. (Anything cold & slushy has always raced right through my system on an empty stomach, even pre-IBS.)

By the way, Baskin-Robbins also has a couple of safe ices. The daquiri ice and the lime daquiri ices are safe from my experience. Looks like a couple of their "Bold Breezes" are, too, but I've yet to try those.

As an aside, I commented to my diabetic husband the other day that now is probably the best time in history so far to have some sort of dietary issue because they've come up with all sorts of alternatives. Heck, even the ice cream places are catering to people with diabetes and people with dairy issues.

I've had the Coldstone smoothies and they're pretty good. I get the ones with soy milk and yes, I've watched them put it in. I personally don't have any problem with them. Yum.

I will have to try these!! Although I can't imagine it's a total replacement for cake batter ice cream with reese's peanut butter cups and chocolate fudge....

Nope...definitely not a replacement for those but it's nice to be able to walk into an ice cream place with your family and see something you can order. They're good. Most of them are made berries or bananas so it's not going to take care of that kind of craving but they are good.
