When I went to the grocery store, they were out of regular yogurt. I picked up some Soy Yogurt and have been using that instead. My stomach seem to feel better after eating this too, especially the non-fruit kind. Has anyone else had this experience?

It makes perfect sense since dairy is a common trigger. I cut it out of my diet completely and then tried to add in FF versions without much luck. I have tried the soy products and don't care for them that much but I do like rice milk much better. I have not found a yogurt yet so any advice would be great! Good luck!

I have been dairy-free for years, as it always upset me anyway, before I knew it was a trigger. For the last seven years, I have been making my own natural soy yogurt. I use a brand called Sojasun - it is made from soy milk with live cultures, just like ordinary yogurt. I buy a couple of tubs every fortnight and make my own yogurt using plain soy milk in an electric yogurt maker. I eat it on Heather's cakes, 'safe' cereals and with stewed fruit. It is probably an acquired taste if you are used to dairy yogurt, but I actually prefer the taste of soy anyway - milk products always made me feel a bit sick. I live in the UK so I don't know if you can get Sojasun elsewhere, but if you can, it's worth a try.

Soy is better if you react to dairy products. I found one at my grocery that is from Whole Soy & Co. In the last 2 years I've been finding more and more of this sort of thing in the general grocery stores. If yours doesn't have it yet try a health food store. I tried it a year ago and couldn't handle the taste. I re-tried it a month ago and it's not too bad now. My tastes are adjusting to the diet changes.
